Katherine Byrne jatkaa Kotkassa

Katherine Byrne palasi Kotkaan ja aloittaa seurassa jo neljännen kautensa. Byrne tuli seuraan elokuussa 2022 ja on viihtynyt Kotkassa erittäin hyvin.

"Katy" tunnetaan Kotkassa periksiantamattomana taistelijana, joka ei jätä yhtään tilannetta kesken. Myös hänen kokemuksensa on kullanarvoista nuorelle joukkueelle. Katy on yksi joukkueen pelillisiä johtajia. Hän pystyy rytmittämään hyökkäyksiin lähtöjä ja tuo rauhallisuutta joukkueen tekemiseen. Katyn sopimus kattaa kauden 2025.

-Olin todella mielissäni, kun asiat etenivät siihen vaiheeseen, että Katyn jatko seurassa selvisi. Tiedän mitä häneltä voi odottaa ja millaisesta pelaajasta on kyse, kuvailee tuntojaan päävalmentaja Jari-Pekka Gummerus.

Katherine Byrne signed up for the FC KTP women’s team. She will start her fourth season in the club. She arrived in Kotka in August 2022 and has enjoyed playing for FC KTP a lot.

Katy is known for her fighting spirit in Kotka–she never gives up before the game ends. Her experience is worth gold for the young team. She is one of the leading players in Kotka, Knowing exactly when to push forward and when to slow down. Katy’s contract covers season 2025.

I was pleased with how things went to get Katy back to the team. I know what I can expect from her and what she is capable of – says the head coach Jari-Pekka Gummerus.
